Gents,
Have you ever picked up one of your bows that has been hanging on the wall, shot it, then wondered why you hung it up!?!?

There's a thread going right know about three different bows, and one of them being the Pronghorn. It made me think about getting mine down, and shooting it,and yes I do wonder why I had put that bow back on the rack!

Wudstix

I saw that, always wanted a Pronghorn, but never could pile up acorns at the right time.

I find myself pulling my bow off the wall at random times and just gripping and admiring it.

Luckily have two foam squares set up along side my house with appropriate matting as backstop, but only @18 + yard shot.  Wood fence and brick house make a good tunnel to test string silencers.

Also, shoot one bow and think it is pretty quick, then get one back from bowyer and realize that it flat out screams with the same arrows.  Hallelujah!!!

What happens sometimes with me is that I get a bow where at first I'm not 100% happy with something or another, usually tuning, but it could be the shape of the grip or something else.  I'm not totally unhappy with it either to the extent that I want to sell it, so on the wall it goes.  Then as time goes by, ideas come into my head and I pull the bow off the wall to try them to see if they help.  I'm reluctant to do something permanent like reshape the grip, which would affect my ability to re-sell the bow, but there comes a time when I know I have to either sell it or change it, because I don't want any permanent wall hangers.  Then down off the wall it comes for the moment of truth.

I guess my purchases are researched well and I have only been unhappy with one longbow I traded for and my stable is discreet at present the Big River LB is really catching my fancy.  MOAB will always be special, but right now I'm opting for more horsepower.
