I have a bear takedown and was shooting it about two months ago .Well i noticed a little edge on the back of the riser .It was a 2015 bow.I sent it to repair and today I recieved a brand new complete bow.Thanks bear archery that was excellent service.You may see this on other web sites I want to let you know about them standing behind there product

That doesn't surprise me one bit.  I have had nothing but great dealings with Bear.

Was it a black maple riser and what's an edge?

 Blackstick it was phenolic and bubinga .The edge I  felt was small verticle are on the back of the riser .Something other than smooth.

 

Been shooting Bear bows for 51 years and never had one problem with their customer service.

I've also had excellent service with Bear Archery.
