If you were to pick a 125 grain broadhead

If you were to pick a 125 grain screw in broadhead what would it be. I normally shoot 300 grain screw ins with my heavier bows but my newest setup is really liking an aluminum arrow with 125 grain tip combo. I know there isnt much for 3 to 1 ratio heads in this light of a broadhead which leaves me scratching my head a bit. I know magnus and silverflame both offer a 125 screw in but trying to figure out what other options i may be overlooking and which one may perform better on deer than the magnus stinger.

Depending on how far you're willing to go, Outback offer the Supreme in 130gr which is close to 3:1 @ 70mm long x 28mm wide. You do need to watch the 'barbed' part if it's applicable to your state (not an issue here in Oz). It is only in single bevel though.

You didn't mention 2 or 3 bld. But I've great success with Wensel Woodsman heads.Hope that helps,Styx.

For a two blade 125 grain screw in broadhead you may want to check out the Tusker Spirit.

I shoot 2016 and 2018 aluminum. I use a glue in/on broadhead adapter with a glue on Zwickey or Magnus. Either 135gr Deltas or 125gr Magnus II.

Magnus Stinger with or without  insert is  a good choice.

I used Bear, Magnus, and Zwickey when I used screw in heads. Since then, I use these same brands in glue on.

I would go to a VPA. Top quality. Very precisely made.

Huntschool

I am shooting "recent old school".  Zephyr Scirocco at 125 and the bigger Sasquatch at 135.  This outfit is out of business but I now have a stash that should last me till I cant shoot any more.

They are unmounted so you can choose your screw in adaptor for added weight.

Both cut real nice and are, in my estimation, easy to touch up.  I like em.  They go in one side and come out the other with all my bows 45# and 52#.

VPA, Iron Will, or Magnus Stinger were my top choices when i thought my new longbow would tune out with 125 grain heads. premium. Possibly the Cutthroat heads by RMSGear.

For a light head I'd probably go 3 blade, Woodsman, Snuffer, or VPA. They all are worth their weight in gold or venison.

I agree with VPA as has been suggested. I recently had the great fortune to acquire some iron will broadheads and I must say am extremely impressed.

wapitishooter

All Ive ever shot is 125 gr heads, Like Woodsman,Muzzy Phantoms and Bear Razorheads all shoot and kill well.
