I try to get a CWD deer every year but they always test out negative.   Any tips? :)

Last time I fell out of a treestand it was eight feet and that seemed high enough.

Working on a place in the basement to do bow lay ups so I can do more building during cold weather.

we had a few test + on CWD last year, looks like more this year.

Nice stic

Excellent Mike!!

I supposedly worked my last day for the 2019 construction season.  Now have a few days off and I'm ready!!

I wish it was excellent Kenny. I now have a two piece handle. I am guessing my wrapping jig got warped. I layed the bow on the table to work on the sight windowand it was springy laying on its side. WTH  So I put the tiller blocks and string on it. Both limbs leaned the same direction
. way too bad even for a dynamic adjustment :banghead: So I saved the riser part for a pattern. Will be making a new jig soon

I feel sorry for you. It was looking good.
How thick was your jig? It looks pretty decent on the picture

Guess I'm kinda confused Mike.
Couldn't you just strip the wrap off and try again??

Crooked Stic

Yeah I run it thru the drum sander.  It is way too big and bulky and needs and upgrade. Just some plywood.

Well got some bad news guys. Last weekend I felt something strange in my shoulder after I took a shower and pretty much undid 6 weeks of PT. Seeing the ortho surgeon for a follow up and next steps. My PT therapist cancelled my session for today. Still not sure what I wrecked but pretty much in pain 24/7. Moved from mechanic to front desk due to inability to due my job. Haven't shot a bow in 12 weeks. Looks like 2020 may not be my year. But that sums it up as to why I kind of went radio silent for the last few months.

Flem

That sucks Cody. Did you have to continue wrenching while doing PT?

Fishinglink

No Flem I switched to the desk before that. Done wrenching indefinitely at this point. We need to hire someone for my spot to keep up with work load. I'm not as bad as day one of injury but not getting any better. Anti inflammatory prescription they gave doesn't touch the pain and the cortisone shoot did nothing either. Thanks for asking.

Damn brother! Hope you get it figured out, my only advice would be to not over do because you think it is getting better!!

Well got some bad news guys.....

Dang, that sucks! Hope you can get it sorted!!

Finally managed to get home after 8 days or so away. We left last week due to extreme fire weather and have been between a friends house and parents house as weather and danger threatened. We returned one day only to get another emergency warning so packed the car (1/2hr after unpacking) and buggered off again. I would have headed bush yesterday for a few hours, but figured it wasn't very responsible being somewhere out of contact and if a fire started I would have been in serious trouble so went fishing instead. Plus, I cached my hunting bow at work in case the worst happened at home.

It was thicker than this at one stage, and those trees down the back fence are 70m/200' away  :o
