Ah crap not again?

I ran it through 10 times and it still comes out flatter than the first pass?

Hell wif it, I z spliced them up.

Cut the bow out today, next up is the farriers rasp to the sides to clean her up.

Feels very stout, hope not too stout:)

Been as many as 8 at one time.

That's a lot of beer and flat spots! :)

I don't have to worry about flat spots cause my bench is so wavy!

Hey Roy what length is your bow it looks to have good string angle at your draw length ?

It's 64 tip to tip, I draw 27.5
I heat induced a little reflex into the last 7 inches of the belly lam osage tips before glue up.

Thanks Mark

Started on my 4B aka 'boo back board bow today. White Cypress (Callitris columellaris) fence paling with locally available boo from the same hardware. All told it was probably $30 for the wood and grass and I should be able to get 2 bows from the cypress paling, and few more from the boo allowing for splits etc. Inspired by a few builds such as https://ozbow.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=16184&p=168121&hilit=cypress#p168121.

Truth be told this is a complete experiment/new experience on my behalf. First time using 'boo backing, first time using this epoxy in a bow (used it plenty in wet composite layups), and first time using a vacuum to clamp timber - good ol' food saver this time, but I have a proper vacuum pump 4/5ths finished ready for service. Glued up flat, though I did play with clamping in some reflex to see if I can before sucking the vacuum down.

69" nock to nock, 1.25" wide through the middle tapering to ~5/8" at the tips with the limb tapering the last 20". 19mm thick at the handle tapering to 1/2" at the tips which is way too thick, pulling 50lb and yet to get to brace height. Modeled off plans I got somewhere (sorry can't remember to give credit). If you focus about 100m past the bow and after a few whiskeys, it might pass for an ELB

Slowly getting there, 45# @ 21". Slight stiff spot just off the fades on the right (nominal top) limb but do I need to get it bending more off the fades?
