Roy's making me make another wood bow  ;) so I started laying out this 57" osage /sinew bow 4" handle 1 1/2" fades 25" aprox. working limb , slight tapering parallel limb design and making a heat caul like in the patern for mid to outer profile then reverse string  4" reflex for sinew the stave is presten almost 4 yrs in the dryer !

That looks like a primo stave, Ritchie. Looking forward to your progress.

Thank Pat I think I'm going to put a slight retro flip on the tips to keep the string on also I'm going to try to stretch it to 30 1/2" it will take it but bet it's going to stack !

I would definitely flip the tips to increase the draw possibility but I wouldn't try for 31 1/2" draw with a 57" bow unless you added sinew and it would still be iffy and especially with a stiff handle.

Well finally got an MRI on Tuesday. Looks like my rotator cuff is not the issue. I appear to have arthritis in my AC (collar bone) joint and a posterior labral tear, which is the cartilage that holds your shoulder in the socket. Waiting for an appointment with an orthopedic doc. Just keeps getting more fun. Been almost 8 weeks since I've shot my bows.

On a brighter note I used satellite maps of a local hunting area and found a really nice bedding area. Sat 4 times, had 3 does feeding behind me on first sit and a buck was working through the thick and nasty. He's worked through every time I've sat there @ 9:30ish however it's so thick I've not been able to see him but he makes his presence known. Most vocal buck I've ever been around. I've tried switching my hiding spot 3 times and he just knows how to stay hidden. Supposed to snow tonight so I'm gonna sit this evening and all day tomorrow hoping he slips. So far closest he's gotten is 35-40 yards but on the other side of thick hedge. Wish me luck.

Pat I am using sinew  as I posted, it defently is going to be a stretch but I'm keeping it 1 5/8" out of the fade & pretty much parallel to the last 6" I have about 25" working limb , well really only one way to find out  :cheesy: I think it will work with proper tiller and I'm using about 1000-1100 elk sinew & keeping the bow light @45lb, will see ! Fishinglink glad every thing is working out !

Damn Cody, that's not good either. Got my fingers crossed for you. Think about talking to a P.T. before you consider any surgery.
On an unrelated to Archery note, Happy Halloween!

Just got the warning while I was typing, congrats Kenny! Thats a fine looking Buck
