Thanks for posting that Ben just ordered one for my dust collector !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

Those remotes are handy. I got a Craftsman one for my funky dust collector. Mine is not as efficient as Stic's will be. I could not figure out how to make a cyclone separator, so the air flow goes thru the bin rater than bypassing it. Still works pretty good, just had to overcompensate with a bigger impeller.

Here is how the cyclone works. The air tube extends a ways into the cone. The dust inlets the top side and has to go around the tube and the cone funnels out the bottom into the bin. You know when you was a kid and turned in circles then fell down from being dizzy.  :bigsmyl:
The remote will be a good idea when I get the drop for my tablesaw.
I have some of the 2 in. home Depot tube along the wall to a couple of machines. Probably need to go to 4 in. or try the 2 in. first??

I would say go with the 4". But there are formulas for figuring flow, velocity and static loss to friction for each machine you hook up to your system. I found it somewhere when I was building my impeller.

Been doing alot of sanding with 60 and 80 grit,
got what I want for a rough shape,
Now to start progressing down with the grits
and Blending it all in

Well.... Yes it would, but at the cost of decreasing the volume of air flow and pressure

John, that is one sexy riser. I like palm wood. I wish I could get some red palm.
Stic, I would go with the largest diameter hose possible. The narrower the hose, the more suction you lose. That goes for elbows and bends in the piping as well.
If you have to neck it down, do it as close to the end as you can.
