I've never hunted out of a ground blind with a recurve before, but I've got a place that I want to put a stand, but the only way to hunt it with the wind I have there typically would be to hunt from the ground. (There's decent brush and cover, but no trees big enough for a stand.)

Anyway, can anyone give me some recommendations on a good ground blind to use? I'm shooting a 62" bow and I'm 6'5 so it would need to be relatively roomy.

Are local, natural materials available? That's how I'd do it.

I've done that before as well, but I'm going to need a blind for this spot.

Ive got a older double bull dark horse recurve blind that I think is 74" center height and works really well

Over the years I have used a lot of inexpensive blinds and they have all worked fine. I got a good deal on a Double Bull Deluxe one year and now have three. Are they expensive? Yes... no doubt. Are they worth it? I cant judge that for you but they certianly have been for me.

I save points on my CC and hoard gift cards from Christmas and Birthdays and then buy them when they are on sale so, it's not too much of a hit.

They are sturdy, dont flap in the wind and have plenty of room if your chair or stool isnt too tall. I like to sit way back against the back so when I lift the bow to shoot... the movement is the least conspicuous.

Im 6'5" and 300lbs and have plenty of room when I'm alone. Decent room to shoot when my wife and I hunt together.

Had a hub blow on one of my blinds... totally my fault. I owned up to it when I called Primos Customer Service. They replaced the part for free anyway. Hard to beat that.

I would (and do) recommend them to anyone looking at hunting blinds.

It's large and roomy. Design is similar to the DB matrix. Material and construction is top notch. Made in USA

Note: they are probably the closest thing you can find to the old DBs, before Primos got involved....kept the name & prices, while moving production to China

Yes it is G but I prefer the lower windows on the big cat.

I like my Double Bull. It is the older recurve model, I believe it's 74" tall. I shoot between 60 and 64" bows. No problems.

Thanks everyone. I ended up with the Rhino. I set it up in the yard yesterday to practice out of. I can shoot comfortably and accurately out of it. This weekend I'll have it set up and brushed in with a trail camera in front of it.

I just started using this blind.  Love it.  Good quality, good price and finally tall enough.  I like it so much I gave away my two double bulls.   The last time I used a double bull I put my time limb through the roof shooting at a turkey.   Really surprised me after using and shooting from it for years.   Must have been the ground angle plus chair setup.   Nonetheless, you will not regret buying this blind
