I'm going for the first time the third week in September in S. Dakota w/ one of my prostaff guys from SE Montana!
We are going to do this spot and stalk as well. He is a wheel bow shooter, but says he should be able to get me within 30 yards no problem using drainage ditches. I'm pumped about it!

I think I need to add an antelope hunt to my bucket list.

After taking this guy last September, I gotta try for another one this year.  Third week in September again.

My plan for 2017 was to shoot my antelope the first day and then sit back on the deck the second day and watch the solar eclipse while sipping a glass of merlot and it worked perfectly.

Spot and Stalk last year.  Sometimes you get lucky

The Vanilla Gorilla

Leaving for Wyoming on the 13th to start hunting on the 15th on my first ever antelope trip.  Have no idea what to pack or what to expect,  but I'm gonna try to have a blast!

Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,

For those getting an antelope, what was preferred method for hunting them?  Spot/stalk, blind, decoy, etc?  And those with close encounters.

Lookin into a South Dakota trip at some point in time and would be interested in hearing.  Thx Mike

Another from Wyoming. Have been hunting SD the last 4-5 yrs and am going again this year. I've taken them stalking, over water and decoying. The most satisfying is stalking but the best action comes when decoying, it gets nuts during the rut.
