FYI...Clint has lost 90#, yes 90! He started getting in shape for his first elk hunt in Colorado this fall by hiking with a loaded backpack and he just ran his first 10k run with his daughter, a track star in her own right.
His jammy/camo is quite stylish.

I was going through some old archery related stuff and came upon this poem I wrote years ago.
Thought y'all might get a kick out of it...

The reason I quit shooting a compound
was the copious amounts of beard hair found
at the nock on the string
from the arrows I'd fling
so a bandanna was used as a beard bound    :saywhat:

90#'s!!! Thats got to feel good  Can't even imagine how much hard work that was.
Thats like losing your Siamese twin

I been finishing a few bows that I started...  The Bow Gods have been with me...  It's been raining a bit here every day...  I paint outside so when I paint after the rain, the rain washes everything from the air and keeps dust from rising...

Same in my part of Florida, Shredd.  I have 3 Bows in the finish process myself

If you are ever in Melbourne area bring some of your bows and stop by for a visit...

yeah the rain in Florida makes it hard to do things this time of year.

I did a handle rehab to make a lousy shooter fit my hand and become a tack driver.

Notice the respirator in the background, it was a sad day when I realized I had become so allergic to osage dust I had to make bow with this dang thing on. It sure take a lot of the joy of working wood by hand away.

Thats some dark adhesive, resorcinol?
I'll say this for the benefit of the younger Bowyer's, if your making dust, wear a respirator!
No need to compromise your lungs, which all wood dust will do. Not to mention synthetic glue dust is, in the case of what it looks like Eric is using (ureaformaldehyde) a known carcinogen.

Eric Krewson

The glue is unibond with the dark hardener.

Been pretty busy with work and the holiday. But I've managed to get some work done on the G2 riser bow.

Meet Black. This is the one I cut in two last week. After shaping and stringing and beating it with a dead blow it aint moving. Plus the fact of other cosmetic issues it got black paint with clear over that. May even make it uglier with tennis rachet wrap on the grip.
