Well yesterday I had to pull a deer tick off my wife's foot.

It was embedded right on a vein.

Checked with a magnifying glass and I got it out intact.

Sent her straight to the doctor for a prescription for an antibiotic.

That was her 3rd tick and I've had 2 ticks we had to remove the past 5 years.

I hate ticks.

Those deer ticks can dig in. Have had a few in past. I always treat my clothes if I think I will be where even chiggers are. Seems anyone else can lay in the grass but I am there they get on me first.  :biglaugh:

That's cause you are such a sweet ole timer:)

We've had more ticks this year then in years before. Usually in the spring we would get a few, or at least our dogs would  :goldtooth: but this year it's a daily thing removing them from the dogs. My wife had one attached earlier this spring but usually we just find them crawling.

Both ticks I had on me caused me problems.

First one was a woods tick, the bite would not heal, 8 months later it looked like a big pimple, I squeezed it and the ticks head popped out.

Second one I had to have a surgeon cut open the wound cause it would not heal, he removed the tentacles.

That was embarrassing cause it was on the cheek of my butt.

Kenny and Flem, be careful there:)

LOL

Roy I am pretty sweet. Lol

If the tick doesn't kill you the antibiotic will...  You better read up on that...  Take the warnings seriously...  Messed me up pretty bad...

Flem

Had to read up on ticks. I don't envy you folks out east, with those tiny deer ticks!
Our ticks are big and slow. You can feel them crawling on your skin. No Lyme disease here, butt(sic)
we do have Rocky Mountain Spotted fever.
Roy, it sounds like you have desperate ticks there.

Fishinglink

You guys need one of these.

We have 3 on hand when near tick areas and have only had to use it once to extract a head but worked great.

Had my first experience with chiggars last year and never want to deal with that again. That was a miserable 3+ weeks.

It's one of those days...  You know....    The one when you have got about an hour's worth of work to do...  But the switch is failing on your sander...  After you fix the sander you find out that you are out and have to make a lam for your overlay...  Then you don't have any tip blocks that will match your bow...  So then you decide that you are tired of screwing around with the hassle and mess of making one pair of blocks at a time so you are now gonna make a tip block jig....  Now its the end of the day and you still did not get done what you started out to do...

:clapper:    I Applaud myself....     :clapper:    LOL...   Maybe I will get this chit done tomorrow...

      Time for a Brewski.!!

Tip block jig worked good...  Just gotta make one minor tweak...
