Looks good. Leopard wood is one of my favorites.

REALLY like that leopardwood. Not good for limb tips though

That was worth the wait, Eh Brad?
Beautiful work Josh

Finally got a chance to send a few more arrows down range. Took me a few to get used to the thicker straighter handle. But after a few rounds she was stacking them in nicely. I can't decide if I like the FF or B50 string. The bow seems to shoot a little better and quicker with FF, but is a little quieter with B50.

I'll definitely be spending some time getting her fine tuned to hunt thus fall.  :bigsmyl:
Thanks for a great bow Josh

I like the way those tips look at full draw. Like a little built in lever. What you got going on there Josh?

62" Crafter from Johnny G at Old Master Crafters
I made that one 63" to accommodate the knuckle-dragger

Heeeyyyy :biglaugh:

I measured the string and was wondering if it was supposed to be a 62" or 64". Now I know.......neither

I just wanted to jump in here and let everyone know I got my longbow from Flem. After years of messing around with recurve/D/R longbow designs trying to find that perfect balance of speed, forgiveness and longevity, I was getting drawn more and more back to the simple straight limb hill type longbows. I found myself always being drawn to in-field photos of game taking with Hill style bows and self bows. To me, there is just something special about the simple designs of hill glass bows and the same for a self bow. I even decided earlier this year that I might carry one with me to the rockies this September for elk hunting. Well, wouldn't you know it, I got one of these from 'ol Flem. perfect rendition of what I was shooting for. Simple lines, and the hill style riser. I'm tickled with it. When I get a chance to grab a photographer i'll get some pics up. Thanks bud, you done good. :shaka:

Well I'm still working on mine. I had an issue with one of my limbs failing several weeks ago. I've since ordered materials and got one limb glued up and will glue the other limb up tonight. Hopefully I won't be too long getting this done.

Ok, update:

We are at 83% complete, I have one bow I know is in the mail and tracking says it will be delivered on Monday which will put us at 89%.

I have the following still needing to ship:
Dannon - recovering from limb failure
OkKeith - recovering from storms/flooding/etc but should be on the verge of shipping

I have the following still waiting to receive:
Dannon
OkKeith
Bmorv

If I messed that up, let me know!

Ok...

Yer messed up.....

:wavey:

Shot yer bow other day, shoots nice and was getting 2 inch groups at 10 yards,  but 2 inches left. Gotta increase point weight a little and that should zero her in.

But you are messed up...

LOL

I don't disagree, but that's not what I asked.  :readit:
