Is this tab too small?

Hello.  Ordered a tab and just got it.  Seems a little small to me, but I am not sure how it should fit.  The one I had as a kid was a lot bigger.   I can still return it, so long as I don't shoot with it.  Any thoughts?  Should it cover my finger tips?

Thanks

Did u put your fingers w/ tab on the string? I believe you'll see what may lQQk small is actually good.

Itll definitely look small in the hand, that look fine. I trimmed mine to fit and this is what it looks like (excuse my torn up fingers, not from shooting haha)

If anything it looks a bit large to me.  Tabs size relate to the width of the three shooting fingers and are unrelated to finger length, work glove size, etc.  and that tab looks wider than yours. I wear size large gloves and shoot a size small tab.  When you curl your fingers around the string you'll notice that the leather protects the fingertips even though its appears it wouldn't when you extend them.  People trim the for a custom fit, but go a little at a time.  Fingertips that are getting abused are usually a symptom of a bad release.

Actually, it looks fine. Look at your old tab to see where the string groove has been worn and I'll bet it would be well within the area of your new tab.

Thanks for the advice.  I wear a large glove, but went smaller on purpose based a recommendation from the manufacturer.  I didn't put a string on it because they told me it wasn't exchangeable if I did.  Based on the comments, I ran through a few dozen arrows.  No issues, that I could tell anyway. I can't find my old tab.  It's been 25 years since I last shot.  I'll use  the tab for a whole before I attempt trimming it back.

I was wondering the same question because every time I shoot the string runs across the end of my middle finger.

Are you using a 'deep hook' at full draw? My strings never get anywhere near my fingertips.

Yes I am. It's probably the way I release.  I changed from a glove to a tab within the last few weeks.
