Considering trying something different. Why, no good reason! Just bored I guess!  :biglaugh: Anyone use these that would be willing to share your opinion?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't shot them but I am thinking I might try them.

It is surprising that there are so few testimonials after the have been out for awhile. That's what kept me from trying them when I was mulling over a switch to 3 blades. You may have to take the plunge and fill the rest of us in.

I know a 2 blade will typically penetrate better, but does the 2 blade's mechanical advantage matter on deer sized game? I am also curious about the performance difference between these and "standard" length broadheads like the Zwickey Eskimo. Oh where is Dr Ashby when you need him! :biglaugh:

I'm a two blade guy normally but the instincts are bad medicine for turkeys for sure.

I have killed everything between bunnies and 2000# bison  With 3 blade Wensel Woodsman.... They are badd medicine for everything ....don't be fooled..... They're certainly not just for turkeys for crying out loud..... It's a myth.... And worse it's a  HOAX!!!!!

I see no reason why the Grizzlies or VPAs  shouldn't work as good or better....and I didn't need a doctor.

I love them. I've killed some whitetail with them. I buy them up on the classifieds when I see them. I have a couple of bows that I shoot a 300 grainer with. I buy the 200 grain and use a 100 grain insert. They are easy to mount and fly straight.

I've been a 3 blade guy most of my bowhunting career and have been shooting the Instincts at a bunch of animals since they first came out. Turkeys, deer, antelope, bear, elk - they have been devastating on everything. I love the long cutting edge and low angle and really believe it makes a difference with penetration.  I honestly think that the head has been the difference maker on the successful recovery of more than one marginally hit animal.
Excellent broadhead, and I am sitting in a turkey blind as I type this with 4 of them mounted on my arrows.

ah hell..They'll work just fine....probably better than many..maybe better than most.
3 blades are great.
If trying em sounds like fun, just do it.

I picked up some as soon as they came out.  IMO, they are great heads and I shot a great Texas boar with one.  They have been in my quiver ever since.  They are longer than most 3 blades, which I like.  They sharpen easily, get really sharp and hold their edge.  They're made with a tip insert like a Snuffer and I've not curled a tip yet, altho I do steepen the point just a bit.  Weight consistency and trueness is great.

No complaints here, my biggest hog ever with a bow was taken with a 175 grain instinct

Picked up some of the original run and never shoot them, looks like that will have to change.

My favorite broadheads by a large margin.  Killed a bear and a hog with them so far.  Will be taking them for bear again in a few weeks and thinking real hard about taking them for moose in 2020.  I've got lots of other grizzly heads around but I can't fathom not having an instinct in my quiver.

Wish I could find the picture KentuckyTJ sent me of a doe he shot this fall with an instinct.  Looked like someone dumped a gallon of paint out, that's been my experience with everything I've shot.

After trying woodsmans last year I don't see myself going back to a 2 blade ever. They are surely bad medicine for critters. Penetration was as good as a 2 blade as far as I know because they passed through like a hot knife and butter and the blood trails where Stevie Wonder specials. Instincts are probably no different.

The are much harder steel and quieter in flight than the WW. Other than that penetration charactoristics are about the same (no need to pyrimid the tip on these)(outstanding).  I killed a few deer and hogs with them, and gave a buddy some along with a bow I made him, he took them to africa and had outstanding results on a Kudu, Impala, Blue Wildebeast, and warthog. The wildebeast was huge and he has a video with most of the arrow shaft and BH coming out the far side right on impact as the bull shot straight up. All short recoveries
