I carry 1 blunt for small game/stumps/practice, 3 Bear Razorheads and 1 Smith's diamond sharpener in my pack .  Don't plan on using the sharpener, but even an old Boy Scout needs to 'Be Prepared'.  I ain't running out of ammo.

I also practice with the last spot in my Thunderhorn strap on quiver empty, because, when hunting, that arrow will be out of my quiver, loaded on my longbow and waiting for the poor buck that mistakenly walks too close to my lair.

3 sharp and 2 blunt for target. However, one magical evening about 25 years ago I ran out.

I've run out shooting pigs and that was with a 5 arrow quiver.  Sometimes you just can't carry enough.

I carry 6 in my GFA. Usually 4 broadheads and 2 blunts.

If I am hunting further away from camp (my trip to Wyoming comes to mind) I will carry 6 broadheads, and throw a blunt or Judo in my pocket in case I want to practice a bit.

I've never found a quiver I really liked, from bow quivers to side carry, to back quivers to CatQuivers.  Not one really does the job if I'm hunting grouse with a Snaro point.  Bow quivers for me come closest though.  I'll be getting a new one for that new bow from Creek Walker Traders for my birthday, and will go with a 4 shaft model.  I can put piggybackers and a snaro-point equipped flu flu on the side for grouse.  Our deer and grouse season are at the same time here.  If I'm on a backpack hunt though, I'll carry more shafts in a container on the pack, just in case I need more.

Charlie,

It depended on if we were spike camping or going out of basecamp.   I carried 5 BH and one grouse at times but if we were running into a lot of grouse it could be 3 BH and 3 grouse.  I've never run out of broadhead arrows on a day hunt.  But jason did one morning chasing a couple of bulls around.  But that's a different story.  LOL

Five broad heads and a field point or blunt. I've missed a doe three times, so I know I could need at least four.
60" Bear Super Kodiak 50@28 (56@31)
68" Kohannah Long Bow 62@30

Bowwild

Three sharp and one field point.  I have been known to carry a spare, sharp broached or two as well.

3 is all I've got room for in my quiver so that's all I take.

Usually I have 4. Never seem to use them... While hunting anyway. I am the self proclaimed worst hunter ever.

I am quite good however at messing up opportunities. :knothead:
