How many arrows do you carry?

Specifically, how many arrows so you like to carry for big game, especially if you use a bow quiver? I have a great northern strap on quiver that holds 5 arrows and don't have any real complaints, but have been considering dropping down to a lighter three arrow quiver or even something like a two arrow EFA mesa with a piggybacker for my judo. I don't live in an area where I'm going to be shooting multiple big game animals in a day so if i cant get it done with 2-3 broadheads I should probably just go home! So are you a minimalist or ready for another battle at Agincourt?

I have the great northern 5 arrow quiver as well.. and I feel the same way you do.. I don't have any complaints at the moment but I could also be ok with a 3 arrow quiver I think

I almost always use a backquiver and I load it up. I may only have 5 or so broadhead arrows in it, but almost always have 10 arrows total. When i leave the house to hunt, I just go to hunt. Might start out as a deer hunt, and depending on action/luck/patience, it may end up a squirrel, rabbit, frog, bird, stump hunt.

I ran out of arrows while hunting once with a bow quiver.  :banghead:

I ran out ONCE.

At least 5.  I like small game, so I always carry a small game head or a blunt.  Depending on when I'm out hunting, I also may feel like shooting a stump before gets out of a tree or on my way out.

I carry 5 on my bow and a bunch of stump shooting and small game arrows in a side quiver I am always shooting at something.

I don't have anything set in stone.....  It all depends on where I'm going and what I'm  Hunting.

Minimum of 4 Broadheads and a judo... Max 6 broadheads.

When hunting in Texas for hogs and javi I carry 6 broadheads in my bow quiver..... And another 6 and I back quiver.  Once I see the big game I can drop the back quiver.

In my GN I usually use 3 as the big snuffers take up so much room in the small hood. Yes I can twist them just right and make them fit but hate banging and grinding the blades together.

My quiver is full when I hunt.  4 or 6 arrows depending.  That said if I'm deer hunting a couple will be set up for pigs and one for small game in Texas.  In Missouri 4 for deer and two for small game.

When hunting big game, I usually carry 3 broadheads, a blunt, and a judo.

For where and for what I hunt now, that has proven to be enough for the day... unless I happen upon a flock of grouse on the way back to camp, lol!

I use the 3 arrow Selway with 2 broadheads and 1 blunt (hexhead) but I also have wrap protected additional 2 blade head in my pack which can replace the blunt (carbon arrows) if needed. Never needed to do it and can only remember 2x in my life having opportunity for 2 shots at big game.

In my 64 years of hunting big game with a bow, 5 arrows is the perfect number IMO. I like to carry a judo or blunt for stump shooting or small game and if you can't kill something with 4 broadheads you'd better go home and practice.
