Of course Fred Bear. I think a hunt for Elk or Grizzly bear with Paul Schafer and Bart Sheyler would be awesome.  :archer2: :archer:

Don Thomas and Jay Campbell. I blame / credit their writing for my return to traditional equipment.

Marty (Akdd) Rinke. He has been gone almost 2 years now, and his generosity made my lifelong dream of hunting Kodiak Island happen.

My uncle Leon. Now in assisted living and has severe Alzheimer's. He was my first bow hunting partner 42 years ago. When his health took away his ability to hunt or shoot he gave me the Damon Howatt Hunter he carried into the woods hunting with me so many years ago.

You just don't realize what you have until it is gone, both family and bows.

With five grandchildren, a son, daughter and son-in-law, I'm in good shape for hunting partners until God says I'm done here.

I started to mention Paul and Bart , then I got to thinking about all the working out I would have to do to keep up.

While I could probably name some of the icons, I'd pick my Shrewhaven crew day in and day out. Those guys are as good as they come and they're like family.

I'm no idolizer of other men. I just don't think anyone is more special than the next. Doesn't matter what they accomplished. I'd pick anyone safe and sporting that respected the game and the sport.

I think it would be very interesting to hunt with Byron Ferguson.  I have had the opportunity to visit with him for nearly an hour and he is very entertaining.
Ron LaClair would be a good choice also.

I would hunt with my brother Jerry who was killed in Viet Nam February 20, 1970. I still have his bow, a Bear Kodiak Hunter, 58" 45#. He bought it new from Bear Archery Center on Leonard Street, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

David McLendon

My Dad because I miss him, bless his heart he was a terrible hunter but he could kill, you had to put him where he needed to be.

Paul Schafer because I think he is one of the greatest true hunters that has ever been and nearly super human as well as a humble guy.

I'm thinking maybe Kevin Dill, because we share a lot of the same philosophy's and experiences. But we both tend to hunt alone so that could be problematic.

Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

Hunting is not only a way to spend time outdoors, but also an opportunity to strengthen bonds with loved ones. Hunting partnerships play an important role in ensuring mutual support, participation and understanding. Choosing a hunting partner is a personal decision based on compatibility of interests and experience. Openness to unusual types of hunting, which you can learn about from post https://www.agmglobalvision.com/unusual-types-of-hunting, can bring new impressions and unique experiences, allowing you to expand your horizons and rethink your approach to the hunt itself.
