Awesome things happening here....can't wait to see more!

Out of the form and looking pretty good. I did have a little slide down with the belly lams. I think with a little creative contouring it will be alright. If not, I guess I get a new bow :bigsmyl:

Hopefully I will have time and it warms up this weekend to get the limbs profiled.  I use a 4" grinder with a flap disc to get close, so it's done outdoors. And I ain't standing outside in 10-15 degree temps to do it.

Nice score Travis!
Beautiful bow skeater, you pulled out all the stops :clapper:

Lonnie's bow shoots as good as it looks. It's a sweet shooter!

Can't wait to see that riser all sculpted out, Bvas.

That's how I get all my new bows. :)

Guess I gotta be nice here and say, that looks sharp Bvas.

Nope not gonna do it.

I guess it's ok for your first bow.

Some bows are built with one limb shorter than the other, you could adopt that for this bow? I have a Striker Stinger which is built like that and I really love shooting it. Or am I misunderstanding what slid?

Nice bow Skeater, you did great. :)

That's a beautiful bow Lonnie.  And if you didn't already know, Travis makes one heck of a bow, so if he says it shoots sweet, I'm sure it does.

I like the shape of that bow Brad.  I'm sure you can shape your riser around that with no problem.

Test bow came out pretty good.... Had a couple spots with less than perfect glue lines though, so I'm glad I did this first.

[attachment=1]

I added some extra clamping to those spots and I got the swap bow cooling in the oven now....

Are you concerned about the thin spots of glue or the thick spots, Ben?

Is that a thin shorter like 12 inch lam out at the tips?

BMorv

C'mom man, that's a tip wedge, thought you would know the lingo now that you're building bows with phenolic

Is that a trick question?  Didn't notice any thin spots.  Had a barely noticeable thicker glue joint where the outer limbs transitions to reflex.  I doubled up on my rubber bands in that area.  I'm pretty sure it won't be an issue (I have bows still shooting with much worse) but would like to get it right for the swap bow.

Brain fart..

First thought the tip wedge was a thick glue joint.

Hey I'm old, LOL...

Tip wedges are for gwass bows.

Yer getten too high tech there Mr. Ben:)

It's nothing that will effect bow length. The lams just slid down the belly ramps a little. I'll just hafta lose a little more of the riser to get to the lam ends. The sight window side is no problem. It's the grip side that has me concerned.
