I've not worked on my poor victims bow for some time , seems I've been snowed under with other stuff . When was that deadline , October 32?

I seriously thought about going ahead and using the limb like it was and just matching the other one. I just hate that I let those nice veneers go to waste!

Well, I made a bit of progress today.  And shot the victim's bow.  It shoots very nicely.  May have to have a plan B .............  LOL >>>-----------^--------->    JK

A couple streaks in the glass so I might try skinning the bow with sumthin cool. Should be shooting this weekend

First ASL, I-beam, and maybe a skin. Draws smooth so far but about 12# over weight. Just might come in a tad heavy. Plan B will be a hybrid as I have made a few of those

Curious why you put in a I-beam? Cosmetic or structural?

I would be happy to make some pink micarta for overlays.

2 reasons Flem. I'd never done one before and I'm hoping the color will have a nice "pop" when exposed in the shelf.
Working my way towards a 2-piece bow (on purpose  )

I just received an order from Kenny with black phenolic and spalted hackberry.

Gonna whip me up a riser with the black phenolic as the I beam inside the hackberry for a trilam.

I just gotta do a dry run of sorts to get it laid out so the phenolic ends up being in
the center of the riser at the arrow side plate surface.

Dat make sense?

I don't know how I'm gonna do it yet, but I'm gonna try.

That's as close to a glass bow that I wanna build.
