QuoteTwo friends met at the range in Elm Hall

One short and cocky, one humble and tall

One emptied his quiver, on the banks of Pine River

And the cocky one went home with it all

Clearly I am the best poet also.

We live in the present, we dream of the future, but we learn eternal truths from the past
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.
Life is like a wet sponge, you gotta squeeze it until you get every drop it has to offer

      THE GREAT SHREW BOW SHOWDOWN

Two long time friends got to talkin one time
One said to the other "your butt would be mine"
Shootin any bow you want, you can choose the place
You'll leave dejected and beat in terrible disgrace

The date has been set, the place has been picked
The braggin has started sayin who's gonna get licked
If I was to bet it'd be real hard to choose
they're both my friends, I don't want either to loose

When the time comes up at Elm Hall this summer
one will leave smiling, the other will say, "Bummer"
One thing you can count on when all's said and done
They'll still be good friends cuz it was all just in fun
We live in the present, we dream of the future, but we learn eternal truths from the past
When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.
Life is like a wet sponge, you gotta squeeze it until you get every drop it has to offer

Ray - I think it's time we debated the scoring rules.

I don't think standard 3D rules reflect hunting shots very well.

I propose:

Heart/lung kill ring :10 points
Miss : 0 points
Anywhere else on the 3D target : -5 points

Great idea.  I'll write a custom program App that'll tally the scores accurately. 😘

App written.  Seems to be working well. First three tests have me winning, must be correct.

Wish I could be present for this.

You are certainly welcome to attend, but seeing Ray in defeat will not be pleasant. He is such a good guy, seeing him laying on the forest floor, sobbing and smashing his bow against the cedar roots will be just awful....

Oh my Roger, you best be purchasing a recipe book. You're going to eating a lot of it.

Ray has made a request that befuddles me....he wants to add a wing shooting and spelling bee element to our grudge match....hmmmmm

Somebody has to provide the crow for you to eat, because we all know you can't hit a flying target. Oh, by the way, yes I have shot a crow on the wing before with an arrow.  It wouldn't leave the bird feeder alone so one morning I stepped around the garage and he took off. I swung and took him on the wing at 15 yards.  So if you want to add archery aerial targets to the competition then bring it.

You went over the spelling on that response 3 times. Admit it :biglaugh:

P.S.—-if a flock of crows comes in to the hide I'll try to pick a young tender one out for you.  Ron's pretty adept at barbecue so perhaps he can coach you on that as well.😆

That is awesome, good for you.

I will never, ever, forget my first special order Northern Mist. It arrived on a Saturday morning. I had nothing going on that day, and the weather was perfect. My wife was off doing girl stuff. I sat in my yard, messing with that bow for hours. Brace height, nock points, arrow selection....I probably spent 4 hour just playing with it.

It was a dang good day................and then the realization struck, I still can't beat Raymond!😥😥

Oh Raymond.....now falling back on plagiarism and misquoting to try and gain an edge.

I would like to add to the bet.

Loser wears a "Roger (or  Ray) Is The Best Archer" T-shirt and the picture has to become the Tradgang profile pic for a year.
