My better half makes rugs on an Oppstad vev. It is a standing loom, the oldest form that we know, been in use for thousands of years.
Too complicated for me, I stick to wood.

There was a gentleman that used to live across from my parents, he was 90+ years old, I would come home 2-3am in the morning from running my coon hounds and he would be up working on his loom I swear the guy never slept. He made grandfather clocks, rugs, candy, about anything you could dream of he did.

Kenny's birthday is coming up and I wanna get him something he will use:)

I stabilized  a piece of Maple 17x3.5x1.5 let it soak for three days. When I lifted the weight it did not float. I cured it and got the excess stuff off I weighed it before and after. It gained 1.5 lb. The black dye just kinda colored it. Maybe needs doubled up on the dye.

I got the scale at one of the big shoots. If I think about I still have the box can see what brand it is.
