If thats one of the pieces you stabilized, I'm dying to see what the interior looks like

Black Widow, does it dry so quick out of the vacum chamber. Should make a very nice handle.

 :wavey:

Crooked Stic

:bigsmyl: hmm never thought of that.

Roy from Pa

I never did either till Mr. McKenzie told me about it..

Now Mr. Painter, you asked me where you could find some pink cloth because you liked it so much. That's why I told you to cut some out of yer jammies.

Remember tho I said not from the seat cuz you know it won't be the right color from that area....

You should really get some camo jammies like I got to get any respect round here , son...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Crooked Stic, I'm liking that. Tim Finley had a Prairie Swift on his display table that had similar colored wood in the limbs. One of the prettiest bows I've seen. It would've went home with me if it hadn't been a lefty.

Ok take down enthusiasts, it's time to play the ever popular game, The Education of Skeaterbait. So first off let's bear in mind the nature of the swap is to push our own limits and challenge ourselves (short walk there for me), so here's my conundrum:

My trade bow is almost done, it looks great, shoots fantastic (I hate to see it go) and it's quiet with the exception of a popping at the limb pads. I have chased it down and can make it stop by putting a bit of paper towel on the pads when I bolt the limbs on. Obviously that won't fly for my victim, except that it truly makes them a victim, so how do I get the limb bolts? pins? pads? to quit popping when the bow is drawn back?

Lonnie, a little string wax on the pads should cure it.

skeaterbait

Thank you Travis and just in the nick of time, the paper towel was starting to grow on me.

you can get peel and stick felt sheets at any hobby store. cut to fit, peel and stick and there you go

Crooked Stic

Moving parts need lube. String wax is good Petroleum jelly is better but can collect dust. I take a Q-tip and put petroleum jelly in the limb bolt hole and pin holes. sheds moisture. Proly Paste wax would work to.

I've decided to stay out of this Petroleum jelly discussion:)

Maybe Kenny has experience wif dat?

Good job, Lonnie..
