Just wondering for you guys with Treeshark experience how would you feel with this setup for whitetails. 52# Tall tines at 28" shooting 540 grain axis .500 I have killed one deer with this setup and a treeshark but the Ferrell snapped right behind broadhead I am guessing just bad luck and the hit was through the ribs. I am really wanting to shoot them again just looking for some re assurance or if I should shoot a tiger/swampshark instead.

I think you'll be ok.  I shot 4 does and fawns this year with treesharks.  First 2 were w a 55# Griz and the second 2 were w a 50# super kodiak.  All were pass throughs.  My arrows are a little heavier than yours.  I think 620 or so.

Shot a 52@28 the passed two seasons....utilized a GT Ultralight 340...100 gn insert...190 gn Treeshark...570 gn total...no issues with pesnetration or BH integrity.

I think you'd be good but I know you'd be great with a narrow 3 blade, Instinct, woodsman, or vpa.

ya know with me I use treesharks and interceptors from only one bow now but other bows I went with a different head,,,but I stuck a deer with a TS and yes I found the deer but it left a lot of doubt about that particular bow set up shooting those big sharks,,,,,,,its a confidence thing so honestly if your not sure by all means there are some wicked broadheads out now and there's no reason to go thru the whole what-if's ,, treesharks are proven and bad a$# same as centaurs but heads like cutthroat, abowyer, zwickey, grizzly, ace, vpa, stinger and many others put good blood on the ground also so I wouldn't even sweat it if I have a bad experience with a broadhead, arrow even a bow I just don't shoot it anymore it gives me an excuse to check something else out  ,,        like when your car breaks down in heavy traffic and everyone is beeping at you and looking out their side windows at you like your an a$#hole sure you can get it fixed but you suddenly hate that car so much its gonzo and you will never buy that model ever again no matter how good everyone says it is  .

I've killed a lot of whitetail with the treeshark. Bow weighs ranging from 48 to 53 pounds at 27".  Arrow weight were 600 to 675. All preformed equal.

Believe Chris Spikes killed one with a 45 or maybe 40? Pound bow. He stressed a tuned arrow is a must which it should be anyway. Myself I've killed several with the 175gr tiger shark and a 50# tall tines. One was a complete pass through @30yds. Granted it's not as big as the tree shark or interceptor. I have some tree sharks to try for turkey this spring if I use my bow.

I wouldnt hesitate, I have used those heads for about 5 years now and love them , last year two antelope, 1 Blacktail and turkey, complete pass through with the Treeshark with 55# bow and 550 grain footed wood arrow

I would take that setup and not hesitate one bit to take that setup along with the treesharks to kill anything in North America don't overthink it just put it in the right spot and it will do its job!!!!

Thanks guys for re-assuring this for me... I actually got a call from Dave at Simmons yesterday and he said the same thing. Shoot 10 GPP and let em rip he also mention that Chris Spikes was curios himself on light poundage so he shoot a whole season with a 45 lb recurve and treesharks and killed 10 that year with 450 grain arrows. 

I shoot the Interceptor at 52#. Shoots through deer like butter. At least so far.

I used a 52# Tall Tines with same head. Arrow weight was 540 grains and complete penetration. One was a whitetail and other was a mule deer

Utilized 52@28 THE LAST TWO SEASONS....all results have been excellent on turkeys, deer and bobcat.

Have considered the SwampSharks however, the TreeSharks performance has remained stellar...will go the SwampSharks for piggies.
