This won't be the hardest question discussed on this site, but I'm wondering:

When stump shooting, do you like your "normal" feathers, or flu-flus, or does it matter?

I always stump shoot with flu-flus, figuring bigger feathers, slower flight and less distance (in case of a miss) is better.

I need to make up a new set, and was thinking shooting "regular" feathers, with blunt tips is closer to what I normally shoot and hunt with, so why not do that instead? (keep the set up more consistent)

What do you like to use?
Thanks,
Rich

You did answer your own question...Stump shoot with the same type arrow you would use for hunting...Although there is nothing wrong with having some flu flus for a shot at a broken/hanging branch...Some guys hunt rabbits with flu flus for the close in shots...Regular feathers for longer shots...

When I'm stump shooting I use the arrows I normally use. I like to keep everything the same all the time.   Pat
