Been working on this KTBA Tyler Roberts bow. Bacote veneers and blue stable maple with a little ambrosia burl. Came out 41@28 62 in. ready for top coats.

I glued up a one piece that I have been tinkering with, it's the virgin run for a new form I made. The dry run looked pretty good except for one spot, but some shims took care of that. It's too bad I focused so hard on that area that I didn't see the gap on back of the bow. There was no light shining on the dry run so I am in hopes when I shave this down to 1.25" that gap will go away.

If that is full of glue it will just look ugly but proly be ok.

Heading to the Kalamazoo expo in a couple hours. Getting some supplies for bow swap and hope to find a bow for my daughter. Will be a good bonding day for us. Hope everyone survives the polar vortex this week.

Don't like the -2 forecast, but it will prolly be a lot colder than that up your way..

I woke up this morning to a deflated air hose in the form, I guess I will have to check my plugs. The good news is, in spite of my screw ups and the air hose, with narrowing the bow to 1.25" (which is my target anyway) the glue lines went from total humiliation to just an embarrassment.

No matter, the bow is really just a test of the form anyway and so far I am please with it. I am going to re-do the riser plan for future, which may change the form over to topless, not sure on that yet.
