No complaints on speed. Off the draw board I put three shots with a 498 grain arrow at 28"@50.5 lbs. I got a 176, 176 and 174.

The next set of limbs I have planned to try tip wedges and see what that does.

Nice DFC and good numbers.  Looking forward to seeing it with tip wedges.

What a Steal....   Craftsman 10" saw...  10 quick clamps and a self centering dowel jig...  All for $90...    :shaka:

I should be in jail...   :goldtooth:

That 10" saw is a solid saw...  Great for cutting out risers...

I guess it's ok..

Better than that dumb sander...

Been working on a new bow, third one ever and went fancy with some recurve. Thoroughly regretting flipping the tips so early as I've no clue how to tiller it now. Advice? It's at 24" 28lbs. 58" osage selfbow. I'm shooting for 40-50lbs at 30 but well aware that at this point I'll probably need to cut off an inch or two to get that.

Tiller actually looks very nice.

But I see the edges of the limbs are square.

Get those edges rounded over before tillering.

Rasp facets in then sand a bit.

Ay1Steaksauce

Heard some notsonice crackling when I pulled it back a bit more. Hopefully rounding the edges a bit like you suggest will help a bit. If not, I got some firewood at least.

Take a cotton ball and run it up and down the limbs and see if any splinters snag it.

Roy and cotton balls!  Why does that seem like a natural fit? :)

Rich, that saw is worth $80 so I'll give ya $10 for the clamps and you can keep the dowel jig as profit.... :biglaugh:

Roy, what 2 MO guys? Thought I was the only one... :)

Ritchie, were both you guys in the truck?  Man , glad you're OK , you can get new shorts!!  Snow ain't bad but ice is miserable to drive/slide on!!  :o
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Ouch! Guess even plows can loose traction. Looks like he slid out on that 90 degree corner.
On a less dangerous note, I am excited because I finally have been home enough to finish my wood furnace It pumps out 200 degree heat real quick. This pic is without the doors on. I am looking forward to doing work without wearing winter clothes.[attachment=1]

That's a pretty small work area, but I can see where it would heat up quick  :banghead: :bigsmyl:

Is that a Momma Bear. I've been heating with one for over 40 years. Great wood stoves.
A1, tiller looks good. Make the right limb the bottom. It's a bit stiffer than the left. You tiller recurves just like any other bow.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
