Christmas Break is almost upon us and my student will be taking a break from his bow.  Now it is my turn.  I have always wanted to build a 58" Bingham Pronounced Longbow.  So, here we go!!! Zebra wood limbs with an Actionboo Core.

I have built three of those years ago. Are they still using two tapers with one reversed = parallel. That is a good design.

Limb #1 in the form.  To the heat box.  I will take it out after my basketball game tonight.

Riser blank drilled ad ready to be cut to shape.  This is the first time that i have used Ed's drilling jig and it is awesome.

Thank you Roy.  I have had a change of heart and have decided not to keep this bow for myself.  I'm going to get as much done as I can in the next 3 days, without hurrying too much, and I am going to give this bow to my Son as a late Christmas present.

First limb out of the form and roughed down to shape.  Do any of you guys put your tip overlays on prior to cutting string grooves?  Just seems like it would be easier to me.  Any advice??

I put my overlays on first. Otherwise it's like doing it twice.

I cut light groove across top, then sides. I think it's easier to make everything line up that way.

What Bvas said. And pre shape the fade part first also.
