I just purchased what I think is a 1962 68" from RMS it's in exceptional shape,  it has the "National Match" peeked arrow rest. Any information about this would be greatly appreciated!  I've  tried posting this several times with and without photos?

Copper_Head

Hopefully this will work getting the photos posted!

google vintagearchery.org and look in the 1961 Herters Catalog and you will see you bow

Yep, that's were I got some of my info, I'm pretty sure it's the Custom Model CV 22 Turkish Laminated Composite Bow. Nothing on brace height but it does give string length!

Thanks!

I still have my original bow from Herter's.  Bought it in the early 1970's for $50.  I still have the catalog and receipt as well.  It was a 65 lb. Perfection Stika.  I shot it for nearly 20 years before the limbs started to get some twist in them.  Boy is it slow compared to today's bow, however I shot a lot of animals with it.

Awesome! Well I'm just hoping this one will shoot good long enough for me to get my skills back, before I have to fork out $600-$1000 for a custom bow.

I had a similar bow a few years back and sold it to someone here on the Gang.  I would have kept it, but it was too heavy for me.  Love the look of the fiberglass weave on the butterscotch limbs.  I think I have the brace height written down at home.  Will check later after work.

Copper Head - Sorry, I could not find the brace height info and I can't recall off the top of my head what I used.

I love Herter's bows
That model is one that has drawn my interest over the years.
Good find.
