Cordovon leather tabs are very nice.

There are a lot of good ones out there, and have tried many of them, but keep going back to the Rod Jenkins Safari Tuff.

Tried a few but still prefer Widow calf hair

Lots of nice ones out there.  That said, I also use a Safari Tuff tab.

Bateman makes great cordovan tabs. If you order directly from them you can get the backing layer in suede leather or rubber.

Had good luck with Black Widow 3 under tabs.......

I'm a Safari Tuff guy also. Great tabs!

Safari Tuff is the best one in my opinion.

++ on Rod Jenkins tab.  The tendency is to buy a tab that is too large, which leads to poor releases and a scuffed face.  I have normal sized hands and use a medium. It will seem too small when you put it on, and your fingers will stick out the front.  It might sting your fingers if you're not releasing correctly.  That is a blessing in disguise, however, as the sting will teach you to release correctly, and you'll end up shooting better.

A regular tab is just a flat piece of leather, and can be trimmed to fit.  Not so much with the Safarituff tab, which is customized to fit a certain size of hand, so it is important to get one that fits right.  Of course, Christmas is coming and you can always give the ones that don't fit right to your friends.

My favorite tab is a Bateman cordovan tab. The one sold as the Eichler signature tab on 3rivers is my style preference.

Thanks guys, tabs have really got a little pricey. Used to buy a couple at a time to have a spare, but not now. Don

Bateman tabs are really nice. I have a split finger and a 3 under that are well broken in and give clean releases. Although in the intrest of honesty I tend to shoot more with my American Leathers glove than with my tabs

If you're old tab lasted years divide those years into the dollar amount of a new tab...pretty inexpensive per year of use.

I make my own cordovan tabs but the VLBB tabs look really nice.

I have several tabs I have tried. I am pretty happy with the yost comes big and trim to your liking. You will need to try a bunch until you find you preference.

I've shot black widow 3under tabs for years. Great tab. This year I'm shooting the one Rod Jenkins makes and it's a great tab. Going to buy three or four more of those. I'd like to try the Yost tab but right now this Jenkins one is really great.
