Shot a decent doe on Sept. 30. A few days later I retrieved the SIM card from my trail cam and this pic came up. I have killed four deer at this stand with the camera in the same position. This is the first time I got a pre shot photo. I kinda like it.

Not sure why she was so spooky. Wind was good. She was alone. She never saw me. But it took her about ten minutes for her to go 10 yards. I think she was just cagey. There had been bear and bobcat in that area so she may have just been playing it safe. I had a particular dry doe I had been after for years. Never got a shot but every time I had a chance she would stay out of range, even during our baiting season. Does can be more difficult than bucks. She had not been nursing and may have lost a fawn to predators. Her cautiousness almost unnerved me once or twice.

Is the arrow somewhere in that pic or is this before you shot? Cool picture regardless.

That sure is a great picture!  I agree about framing it!

That was before the shot. All I got after the shot were her rear hooves as she ran by the camera. She made it about 75 yards, tops.

That is great, I agree enlarge, mat and hang on the wall.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Hi Bill.  Incredible picture.  Hope you are well, and hoping you remember me.  One day, would be nice to connect.  I'll bring the tuna sandwiches,

Almost looks like a painting. Very nice, and congrats on the doe.
Killing a spooky doe is way harder than shooting a big buck any day.

I also agree with framing that pic for your home on the wall. On another note, you may consider sending that in to the trail cam manufacturer. I believe they run a contest every season and I'm sure that would be a winner. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing and congrats on that big old girl.

Framer for sure!  Looks like a custom painting.
