Well not me but a professional....

Chris doesn't offer that service and the limbs jus look different to me. Ay Habu owners ever do this or anybody with any info on this.

Text me 717-490-4555 if don't want to post details on here.

Not sure but you could sell it to me and lose the weight of it entirely  :goldtooth: :archer2:

How much weight? I wouldn't think it would hard to find someone to sand off 5 or so pounds and refinish but I honestly never tried to find someone to do for me. I've made a small handful of glass bows and you reduce weight by slowly and evenly sanding belly of both limbs with fine paper and weighing often, very often. It's Very easy to take off, hard as hell to put back on!! :biglaugh:

Actually he said didn't think he could. Habu doesn't have glass on the outside.  Definitely more challenging. Just needs to be someone familiar with design - I hope.

i misunderstood if he can't do it must be more to it than I'm thinking

Crittergetter

The habu mike is referring to has veneers on the outside of the glass. A few bowyers have done this to eliminate streaky glass. On this particular bow one would have to trap and or round the edges to reduce weight.

I've been thinking about this, I don't think I'd want to have someone other than the maker reduce weight on that bow if it involves trapping the limbs. That seems like a real nice bow and would be a shame to lose resale value. Just my thoughts. I'd think you'd be money ahead to trade or sell for the weight you want or keep it as is for that big, future out of state hunt we all dream of and work into it over the year before you leave
