Hi all,

Been out of shooting for a bit but am getting back in the game. I'm looking for a D-shape or mild R/D longbow that uses the carbon sleeve t/d system. Who makes a good one these days? Not too interested in the aggressive hybrids.

Thanks in advance!

Pete

I just ordered a Northern Mist Superior. It is a very mild R/D, and Steve uses the carbon sleeve T/D system.

Mine will be 66 inches long with a locator grip.

Big Jim builds a very nice carbon sleeve. I have one in a Thunder Child. He also does it in the Buffalo bow. The Buffalo might be considered mild reflex deflex.

Good suggestions, thanks. Please keep them coming!

Lots of folks still don't know this, but Wes Wallace has been building the Royal with the sleeve system for a little while now.  Hard to pass up that option!

Same here, I know Vince started up again but havent heard/seen anything in a while though....Vince always used the hinge.

As far as I know Vince is still at it sporadically. He has always used the Hinge which has always worked great on his bows.

Thank you so much for your reply .....yes I have two just alike and I don't need both of them just exactly alike... meaning they're the same draw weight. I have one for sale in the classifieds and it has the hinge.

It was just a miscommunication as I already had one this exact poundage and was wanting one seven pounds lighter for my golden years.

My mistake, the Mohawk is the hinge system. Just wanted to give another great option for a mild R/d
