Weather is great up here. Cold and overcast. It sure is tempting!

Got rained on but got rained out! Very wet morning bit saw some deer and turkeys

Got out last evening and saw a small 8 and 8 does. The buck was munching acorns all around my stand then wandered off. Started sprinkling so I snuck around til dark and almost stepped on 2 of the does, they were bedded where they had to have seen me walk in to my stand, unless they came in after. No shots but good times. Can't wait for the weekend, although they're calling for rain.

I stuck it out all day, with a little break in the middle. It was pretty wet until noon. No deer.

I had a spike and a forkhorn under my tree last night. This spot was too far away from the truck for small deer....if I'm going to have a heart attack hauling a deer, it's going to be a whopper!

I checked my camera and one of the target bucks was there at 7:45 am. He's been coming through a few minutes later every day. Hopefully he keeps the pattern up and I can intercept him some morning. Been really windy up here the past few days. Dad's up visiting so we're going to go do a little shining tonight to see what we come across. Good luck guys!

All I'm killing is mosquitoes!!! Wow. Thank God for my Thermacell.

Snowed here until about 9:30 today. Low 40's right now. Hoping to get out tomorrow afternoon.
