Looks like top limb may be a little stiff

J/K. I have great respect for the arts. And you sir are very talented.

Pat B

It will straighten up once I add the sinew.

Cool Pat.

What's the draw weight?

The horse gonna get a tail?

Ah a Fisher wood stove, they don't come any better than Fisher..

Pat B

Enough weight to punch that bison, Roy.
The tail is getting it's fuzzies.
We've depended on that fisher wood stove for most of our winter heat for 40 years.

They are nice.

I have a Jensen wood burner with a water jacket in it.

I have it piped in parallel with my hot water oil furnace system.

Does a heck of a job.

Got a bit more done before the painting begins. There is still a lot more detail work to be done but the initial painting really helps me see what else is needed. These are the last pics before the painting begins...

Shedd, here are a few close ups. The last pic I have painted part of the bison which adds to the detail. This is only the beginning of the painting and detail work...

Very very nice, Pat...

Be very quiet, there's ah deer standing out there in your yard:)

BMorv

Oh wow.  The detail work is incredible.  The bow looks spot on
Life is too short to use marginal bow wood

Pat B

Roy, the deer have already eaten everything in the yard. No need for them to come back til spring.  :knothead:
B, the osage bow has 3 strands of sinew on the back.
Looks like buffalo tongue for supper.
Thanks guys. I've enjoyed these projects. It takes me a long time to get them done but there is no rush and it does take time for the glue to dry and a lot of sessions of wet glue. I also like doing the details and making them as accurate as popular.
