Yes Macassar have been my favourite timber for years now and is in lots of my bows... I've just placed an order for a recurve with Gabon and Bacote...

Killer combination, Bocote has a very nice character and contrast so it can matches only with a neutral wood, Black is perfect

That Cocobolo of Joes is the best looking wood on the planet.  I think I would have bows built of that every year if I could find that quality.  never get tired of looking at it.  Thanks for sharing Joe..

As mentioned the riser is Cocobolo,and the limb veneers are Elm burl.  58" 50# @28"  Its built for non stretch string but I have a B50 endless string on it.
