Has anybody given these a try? Just wondering what you thought of the performance?

I used the 3" last season and have no complaints. Don't believe it improves anything but they look cool.

This past week I played around with 2" and 3" feathers. I normally shot a 5" that I burn. The 2" was faster and flew flatter. Same for the 3". put a 130 grizzly on and they shot great. Thinking about using the 3" on an up coming elk hunt.

I haven't tried these, but I discovered my setup handles a 175 grain Zwickey Delta with the A&A fletch in a 2.5" length and a turbulator in front of it. I was amazed at how little difference I saw in speed and noise between that and my 4.5" shield cuts though, so I'm sticking with the bigger fletching for the hunting season. I simply don't get enough extra benefit to outweigh the margin for "whoopsies" that comes with the shield cuts.

Besides, the short fletchings look strange to my eyes...

I use Gateway 2.5' shield cut with either a 160 Snuffer of a 160 Magnus 2 blade. They are noticeable flatter and quicker down range than 5" shields. They do require excellent tuning and are not as forgiving of a sloppy release, so rather than practice until you get it right, practice until you can't do it wrong.

Just curious....what exactly is "down range".(doesn't sound like a 'real' trad bowhunting term)

And just how do you scientifically compare the difference?

Can you tell me the EXACT difference in speed, arrow drop, hole clearance, paradox recovery comparison along with penetration evaluations due to LESS paradox recovery 'down range', dimensional stability of the shaft at impact due to minute feathers and more paradox?, how much quieter these tiny feathers are?

I'll await your reply....as long as you have 100% proof backed up by non bias scientific test results.  Clear CUT video of results proving claims.

    I don't have all the science ya asked for man but, here is what I do know. 2 inch feathers I cannot hear in flight but 5 inch feathers I can. Not like a flu flu mind you but I can hear it. I 2 inch fletche hit about 4 inches higher for me at 25 than 5 inch feathers. I like them and use them. To each his own I suppose.
