Ok Kenny, I'll take the one in the last pic!

Guys, not many on the backup list for  fall 2019. It is free to get on list , and after the regular crews pick or decline a spot, I go right on down the list  of back up hunters.


Oh, there is still the January hunt open this time.  The deer stay on the farms after gun season because no gun hunts there and they are undisturbed (except for me slipping in a time or 2 ) and have great cover for bedding. 

If interested, let me know and I can point you to the farms on google earth to look em over.  .  .

Forgot to mention , I saw a pretty nice buck when I went to check cams. Was cutting across a field on quad and was headed past a tiny brush pile with a few trees shading it. Thought to self, good place for a buck to hole up for the day....

And like magic, he popped right out 20' ahead of me and cantered off to bigger cover!

Nice Kenny!!! Guys, if you are interested, get on the list. You may not get what you want right off, but if you don't get on it you have no chance whatsoever ever. I can't wait for this hunt!!!

Looking forward to it David!!  Plenty of deer this year, barring a disaster of some sort like EHD or something, there will be a lot of them around.


Turkeys are in shorter supply, still some but not the numbers of years past. Most guys come for the deer anyway tho...

Still a hunt open at Christmas and one in January.  If nobody wants em, I may have to see about finding a big critter there late season since I pretty much stay off during the guy's hunting time .....


Critters are hungry by late , we have the cover and neighbors have the food. Just get between and wait.. sounds easy right?

The thing about bowhunting is there has to be many things go right for success, and only takes one thing going wrong to fail...

That's why we love it tho!!

 W is the letter for this year ...  Whitetails, water ,white oaks ..

If we don't get some good rains by season, water is going to be a place to be, deer need to drink...

The oaks are kicking butt this year, the trees are putting acorns on, not sure how with dry weather, but they are doing well..
