Today, the grand daughter was with us and wanted to play outdoors. So, I asked her if she would like to shoot a bow and arrow. Her eyes opened wide and a broad grin filled her whole face. We took her "Bubba's" bow and an arrow out to the target for her very first effort. Linley is only three, so her form was far from perfect, but her enthusiasm more than made up for that. She was one excited little girl!

Her attention span was short, but she stuck a couple of arrows in the target. Robin Hood has nothing on her, and if you don't believe it, just ask her! Seeing a little one having such fun is  one of the most satisfying aspects of archery. Papa Sam was a happy archer, too.

Thats just awesome. My daughter had our first grandchild about a month ago. I bet you had a grin from ear to ear spending time shooting with her.

I have a 6 year old that like to shoot for short segments........shortly we will had down his bow to his younger brother......only 2 right now. When we hand down the bow the 6 year old will get his own Northern Mist long bow that I found on the classifieds...........all good stuff   :archer2:
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
