You won't catch me shooting a self bow.

But that's just because I haven't learned how to build one.........yet.  :bigsmyl:

And hot dogs should always be topped with chili sauce or coleslaw and mustard ;)

Traditional Archery topics only in here guys....

So from now on, it's got to be traditional mustard, traditional ketchup, traditional mayo, and traditional onions.

Traditional ketchup and other condiments came in glass bottles or jars. Cant beat glass, them was the good ole days.
Life is to short to pass up anything that could potentially be bow wood!

Slaw Dogs... Mmmmm. Those are as Traditional as starched overalls and straw hats.

In a moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

At any rate I'll have my selfbow with any condiment.     :bigsmyl:

Unfortunately, when I go to a shoot, I'm the only one with a selfbow. So I'm ok with backed and composite bows as long as FG is not allowed.

George, what is wrong with glass bows?

They are a stick and a string....

Shredd

I could see where if you were in a shoot and the targets were at a distance...  But at a 3D shoot where most of the targets are in the 17 to 25yd. zone I would think that you could be just as accurate as a F/G bow...

George Tsoukalas

Nothing is wong with FG bows, Roy. I meant in my class at a shoot. I always shoot selfbows so I don't care if archers shoot backed or compose bows in my class as long as they are not glass backed. Thats the way organizers set it up anyway. Jawge

I love to watch the arrow fly!! Ever since I got my first bow at the age of seven I have loved the flight of the arrow!! I build mostly glass bows but have built board bows, self bows and bamboo backed osage but haven't tried a tri lam yet, although I will. I really want to build more self bows but good self bow wood is hard to come but here in Alaska, thats probably why I haven't built more of them. I do believe there is something magical about them!
But my how I love to see those feathered shafts fly!!
