Are there some directions or guidance on how PMs work now?  I can't make heads or tails of them.

I see really old messages I deleted a long time ago.  They don't seem to be in any type of order.  I try to sort by date, but they don't sort right.  And where are the messages I send out?

Click my messages, then three more options appear to the left.

Well, that's somewhat helpful.  I can now at least see my sent messages.

Still, when I go to my "Inbox" and see a list of messages, and I try to sort them by date, they don't sort by date. 

And you click that little icon that says date with an arrow and nothing happens?
My change everytime I click it.. First to last or last to first.

I deleted 90% of mine, John. That helped. Actually I only kept the passed 2 weeks of messages.

It would sort them by date within a subject, but not overall.

I deleted all but my most recent 2 messages.  We'll see if that helps moving forward.

I'm getting old and needing to learn new things pisses me off now

for some of us, we got a rude awakening when we first logged into the test site - i had nearly 2000 saved PM's.

though i had deleted 99% of them when i was in the old forum, that software never really did remove them, and all the messages were returned during the conversion.  a quick 2 second prune and they were all gone.

Yeah, when I hit the sort by button it just shuffles my messages.  Doesn't sort them in descending or ascending...just jumbles them up.

just click on the column heading names to sort by date, subject,  or from.

I was able to delete the old messages using the prune messages button.

Same issue. Whenever I hit the DATE button, the messages shuffle, but they are not in ascending or descending order. No biggie. I'm sure there will be a few bugs to get worked out.

Bigger problem is Roy as a moderator. Tough to get good help.

you can sort PM/s by DATE or by SUBJECT or by FROM - they all sort just fine. 

if you need to be more filter selective, click ACTIONS, SEARCH MESSAGES.

Rob - no matter which button I click on, or filter I use, my PM's will not be arranged in either ascending or descending order by date. I've tried it 5 or 6 times. Again, it is not a big deal for me. It looks like others are experiencing the same and I thought you may want to know. If not, also no big deal.

When I click on the arrow by date it brings today's pm to the top and the others are in ascending order by date. However, when I leave the pm page and go back to it the latest message is at the bottom and the arrow next to date is in the up position.

 I never really liked PM's and I never received them on the old platform however I can't find a way to cut them off on this one I would just rather somebody email me or call me don't have to worry about PM's to I got enough stuff going on in my life but anyway I may have to live with it and just make a post to please email me instead

Hopefully it will just be a problem with the transferred PMs and the ones created on the new platform will be fine.
