I have photos of my new BigJim Buffalo. Can anyone help me download them onto my post "Big thanks to BigJim". Photobucket drives me crazy!!!

I used to post pictures for guys, but then I have to leave them on there forever because if I delete them, they will disappear from the post.

Photobucket isn't that difficult to work with. There are some excellent tutorials in the computer forum here. Once you have the pictures loaded on Photobucket, you simply move the cursor over the thumbnail picture without opening it. A "gear wheel" will appear in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. Place your cursor on the gear wheel and a drop-down menu will appear. One of the items will be "get links". Click on that option and a series of links will appear. Click on the bottom one and it will "blink" "copied". Then just go to your post and "paste" the link or hit "control V" and the link to your picture will show in your post. If you click "preview post", you should see your picture. Go back to photobucket and repeat for each picture you want to post, then click "add reply".

Thanks Ron, I'll give it a try. I got as far as successfully downloading pics.

Can't get a gear wheel to appear on a thumbnail pic. Very frustrating!

Me either, but on the left of the page there is a chain looking thing clicked on it and it opened up the different links that are possible.

Michael, now I'm at a loss for explanations. I copied your pics into a folder on my hard drive. I uploaded the first 3 to Photo Bucket, but the last 2 simply will not upload. I tried it using Firefox (my normal browser and with Google Chrome - no luck). Anyway, here are the first 3 and I'm still trying to figure out why I can't upload the other two.

Very nice bow, by the way. Ron.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but I also need help.  How do you get ONLY ONE photobucket image onto a post.  When ever I post a picture only that one appears, BUT by clicking on the photo it provides access to my entire set of pictures in photobucket.

HELP!!!!

I think the answer is to mark a folder as private and put your private pictures in there. Personally, I don't have any of my pictures protected. I don't put anything up on PhotoBucket that isn't open to the public. My private stuff stays home   :)

If you click on one of the pictures I posted for Michael, you will see only 3 pictures, because I put them in a folder titled "Michaels Big Jim Buffalo". If you look up at the location at the top of the page, though, you will see that folder is in another called Tempory Pics., which is in my "bucket" of photos. Open the bucket and you will see all my different folders of pictures. That's just the way I wanted it set up so I could send a link to a folder to somebody and not give them a password. Like I said, I don't put anything up for grabs on the internet unless I want people to see it. I could just as easily have had two folders - one private and protected and the the other open to the public.

The problem with having someone else post pictures for you is that they will be in his(her?) Photo Bucket account. If I later move that folder of Michaels pictures, even though they are still on PhotoBucket, they would disappear from his post on Trad Gang. I think that may be why a lot of older posts have blank pictures with the notation "this file has been deleted or moved". They were probably posted by someone other than the original poster.
