I use some vertically laminated bamboo flooring that I got from Lowes- works well and is of better quality than the stuff I use to get at lumber liquidators.

Great for cores in wood only and glass bows.

Be sure to get vertical ! and unfinished if you can.horizontal isn't what you want and finish is hard on blades.

Here is where I get mine from. They have vertical boards that are 7/8s x 8 x 6 ft. $30 a piece. Unfinished. And if you resaw with a bandsaw to cut down on waste you get a lot of lams out of one board. Only draw back is the shipping.

Horizontal and vertical bamboo baseboards can be bought by the piece 5/8 X 3 1/2 X 6'. Horizontal works good as long as you cut out the factory glue joints. The only de-lam I had in over 60 bows was from a factory glue joint.

Well they just emailed me and said there out of stock on the unfinished  bamboo lumber any body have another web source ?  I dont want prefinished as the band saw blades are to costly to keep replacing or I could hit Lows up I see lumber liquadators has it but as mentioned above I wonder about qaulity ?

I use the carbonised finished as well as the natural, and my bi metal wood cutting bandsaw blade lasts as long as it takes me to forget and 'accidentally' go through a bit of 'glass in a bow.No worries cutting the finished.

Crooked Stic

You guys saying the finish is hard on blades? Never noticed that before.
