New Bow After The Broken One.....

Hello y`all...

New bow I finished last week.
60" long, 47#@28". Riser is zebrawood and walnut with a maple accent. limbs are maple and walnut under clear glass (bearpaw powerglass).
18" riser
24" power lam
8" tip wedges
Micarta tip overlays
Zebrawood handle overlay.

I shot a few dozen arrows though it and it shoots great, draws smoothly and hits hard.
After my last failure (which was a good lesson. I applied everything I learned from it to this bow), that`s a big step forward for me.
Got to say a big thanks to all of you guys who helped me understand what went wrong with my last bow. I sure learned a lot.

Way to shake off that broken bow and turn out a beauty.
From what I can tell......it looks like you took suggestions to heart. Glue joints look tight and full. And your fades are longer and thinner. Great job!!!

What kind of form did you use?

And where's the mandatory full draw pic?

Nice recovery. The last one was definitely not a loss, you learned some good lessons from it.    :thumbsup:

Thanks a lot guys.
I really took that lesson to heart.. I even wrote all the things I did wrong.
I used the same form I made my last couple of bows, it's a 64" long KennyM, applied a lot of glue ON BOTH SURFACES and used inner tube clamping. Worked like a charm.
Full draw coming soon.....

Yup...  Looks like a Weener...  It has clean, crisp look to it...  Good job Bro...

  Problem is that there is always gonna be something else...   Lol...  This is not the craft for the faint of heart...   :)

By the way, what do you guy do as "quality control"? How do you make sure your bow is all good to go?

I`m talking about the guys that make and sell bows. Besides have  A LOT of bows under there belt, is there some kind of quality control that they use?

The guys that have made lots of bows and are selling them probably have less QC as far as durability and functionality than the guy only making a few bows. They already have a proven design and building technique. Their QC is probably more fit and finish related.
