Ain't this a pretty limb tip?

Now, note the spot where the veneer pulled from the glass....

And here's why...

A friend of a friend of a..well, it was me, was cutting back on glue from what I usually put on.
The bow is a TD an I kept hearing it tick when we were shooting it before finish was applied. Figured it was just the pin or bolt, but bro laid it in his truck and she went off as he turned to shut the back door...

My point? If it's workin, don't change it! Thought I had too much squeeze out, but I'd rather waste a little as have this. These limbs are wasted now.

I think the core lams came apart from tip til they tore a lam, then folded and popped the veneer loose on belly.

Lesson learned, new limb in oven now and another in morning.

I don't think making a new set is really "correcting"!
Sounds more like replacing.

I'm just glad ya weren't at full draw when she turned loose.
That's why I been drawing them about a dozen times on the tree before I shoot them in hand.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Yup, have her back together soon . I also didn't heat those limbs so this time I mixed 2/1 , used more glue, and heated it !

That's ok Kenny you are not alone, had a one piece blow up at full draw today, due to my own rush to shoot it!!!

Dang that is too bad.  Hopefully you had some of that tamo ash left for some more veneers.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch

Yep, still have some! Gonna glue up #2 limb(or is that #6 for the twins) in a few !

In my excitement yesterday I mixed the glue and found I hadn't made the wedges!

No prob tho, whipped out a set of wedges and glued the limb up!    :)

That sucks. And sometimes there is not a reason you can figure out.If you know though you correct it and move along. Still be gun shy for a while.

On the 2/1 , the limb I unwrapped this morn seemed like the glue boogers  seemed a bit crisper but I heated this one too. You should only change one thing at a time I reckon .

Glued the second one up this morn too.
