wondering if any of you have had your plywood glue up come out with  an ever so tiny bow in it, if so what did you all do about it??

My latest form glue up did exactly that so I decided to create something to keep the upper and lower forms together and straight for the bow layup and baking......any thoughts on this??

   

These 2 pieces go on either side of the form and bolt through the plywood

I take a 1" wide 3/16" thick metal strip and drill holes for deck screws every 8" or so.
one screw on each end and put a shim in the middle until the form  is straight. then put a screw there, and so on.
Recurves need to be straight.

My thought was to sandwich it to keep it straight

Straight is good on all forms , but on recurves it is essential IMO.

is that 3/4" tubing?
It might just follow the curve.

On all of my glass bow forms I drill holes in a 1 1/2" piece of angle iron and screw it to the bottom and side of my form.  Haven't had one bend/twist yet.
