Splitting bow staves Scandinavian style

I think I learned some new tricks here that can be used when splitting bow staves. It is in Swedish, but I think you get it.

I love seeing things done the hard way.  Thanks for posting.  That might be the inspiration I needed to hand hew a few beams for my future workshop.  
How much time was elapsed in making that beam?

They did not say how long it took. The beams in the church tower is 800 years old and 13 meter long. They wanted to make replicas with the tools available at that time.

Excellent, thanks for posting this. Always great to see real tools and ingenuity at work.
