Hi guys.

I'm in the process of making a takedown longbow. I'm going to use clear glass over maple lams. I want to add a bit of colour to it. Can I stain one of the maple lams? Will it cause any problems in the glue up?
How about natural home made stains (like coffee or this one-    https://www.google.co.il/amp/www.instructables.com/id/tea-staining/%3Famp_page%3Dtrue?client=ms-android-om-lge  )?

Any of the alcohol based leather dyes will work. The one you have posted should also work. but you might do a test strip first to be sure.

I have used alcohol based aniline dyes for years without issue.  The alcohol flashes off almost instantly.  Can't say about the water based or any others.
