Maybe I e lost it but I think that bow would be totally fine with that lump.

That section would be extremely stiff. Also Binghams recurve uses not taper in the limb, so the outer limbs tend to be very stiff anyway.

I never was a big fan of the Coreflex/Superaction

I've never been a huge actionwood fan, but I really like the way that turned out.
