My first with bamboo, 64" ntn 54@28" really impressed with the way this one shoots. Quiet as anybow I ever shot and dead in the hand. Also my first lefty, will be going to a friend after I finish putting on leather grip.

Thanks to Eric Krewson for continuing to take time to teach me things such as grinding bamboo backing strips.I'm definitely a work in progress but he really has been there to help me anytime i have bow building questions.

I shot this bow and it was really sweet. It is actually a recovery of a bow that didn't come out well. Darin added the bamboo to the belly and made a fine bow.

I love repurposed bows. Like getting a puppy from the pound, they'll love you forever.
Nice job on this one Darin and Eric.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

It came in about 8-10 pounds shy, was tempted to keep it for someone but figured I already had over half the work done. Ground some belly lams, flattened belly and glued them on. Tillering the bamboo belly was a breeze but did drop poundage fast once it started falling. Plan on trying a few more of these, but working on another Osage selfbow now.

I love it when you can turn one into a nice shooter on the second try.  I have a couple like that myself.
Nice work
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.
