Hey guys, I've been working on the table saw this week chopping up some Osage blocks to use in recurve handles. Just picked up some really pretty padauk for a good price also. I'm looking for inspiration on this color combo, I've been going back and forth between cutting up small laminations and stacking them or making more of a blocky style. They will be 2 inches wide and black Glass on the bow.

What do yall think. Any pics of this color combo you can share? I haven't been able to find any.
Thanks

I don't think I've seen those woods together. It should look pretty dramatic against the black glass. I have two slabs of padauk in the garage to be made into live edge coffee tables. I'll put some osage next to them tomorrow and see the effect. When I build the tables, there will be riser wood left over.   :)

You have to keep in mind that the osage will turn a honey color after awhile. To me it would work.

Here is what I'm working with. I also have strips of the Osage and have plenty extra of the padauk to use.

Here's a couple of the bow I built for the swap a couple years ago.  Paduak and osage and gray action wood.

I love that, thanks for posting it, it's helpful seeing them polished up like that.
